NIST Cloud Security Reference Architecture

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released draft guidelines for cloud technology security in the federal government, and is seeking public feedback. "NIST Cloud Computing Security Reference Architecture," written by the NIST Cloud Computing Public Security Working Group, describes a comprehensive security model for cloud computing in line with a priority action plan set out in NIST's cloud computing roadmap.
The public comment period runs through July 12, 2013.

ENISA Survey on Incident Reporting in Cloud Computing

ENISA has launched a Cloud Security and Resilience expert group. The new group held its inaugural meeting last month in Amsterdam, with 20 experts from 12 countries, including two members of CIRRUS project.
ENISA has also opened a survey on incident reporting in the Cloud. The survey aims to better understand what would be a pragmatic and cost-effective approach to incident reporting in Cloud computing, looking at what services and incidents should be in scope.

BONFIRE project workshop

Bonfire project invites submissions to the half-day workshop “UsiNg and building ClOud Testbeds – UNICO” that the project is organizing within the context of CloudCom2013 in Bristol.
he objective of the workshop is to present and discuss the research and use of cloud testbeds in the field of multi-Cloud and Federations, as well as to identify gaps in research and development and the status of the take-up of currently available testbeds.

CIRRUS at e-Challenges

eChallenges e-2013 Conference (09 - 11 October in Dublin) is the twenty-third in a series of annual technology research conferences supported by the European Commission and hosted by national governments. Plenary Speakers confirmed to date include Minister Sean Sherlock, Minister of State for Research and Innovation of Ireland. CIRRUS paper written by Aljosa Pasic and Ludo Block has been accepted and the project will be present at this event.

CIRRUS at International Workshop on Trustworthiness, Accountability and Forensics in the Cloud (TAFC)

CIRRUS project will be presented at International Workshop on Trustworthiness, Accountability and Forensics in the Cloud (TAFC).
This workshop is jointly organised by DIMACS/BIC/A4Cloud/CSA and will be held on June 6 - 7, 2013 in Malaga, Spain, in conjunction with 7th IFIP WG 11.11 International Conference on Trust Management.

Network and Information Security Platform

The Commission will launch the Network and Information Security (NIS) Public-Private Platform on 17 June 2013. The output of the platform will feed into the Commission recommendations on cybersecurity across the value chain to be adopted in 2014.
